Find Your Way Back to Yourself
Helping People Reconnect With Their Authentic Identity
Many of the struggles we face—anxiety, addiction, people pleasing, perfectionism, emotional overwhelm, and shame—are often rooted in something deeper than we realize.
For years I believed alcohol was my problem. What I eventually discovered was that addiction was often a way of coping with unresolved pain, disconnection, fear, and the loss of authentic identity.
Many of us learned early in life to ignore our feelings, hide parts of ourselves, perform for acceptance, or become what others needed us to be. Over time we lose touch with who we really are.
The Genuine Life framework was born out of my own recovery journey and explores how emotional wounds, false beliefs, and survival patterns shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
Healing begins when we stop living from the false self we created to survive and begin reconnecting with who we were created to be.
Through recovery, emotional honesty, meaningful connection, and God’s redeeming grace, it is possible to find your way back to yourself—to the authentic identity that existed before shame, fear, and survival taught you to be someone else.

IN ADDITION TO MY RECOVERY WORK
I have a long radio and broadcasting career spanning over three decades. I have hosted radio programs in many markets across the country including a popular morning show for many years in Sacramento, California. During my time in Northern California, I also hosted the Reality Check radio program focusing on addiction and recovery and currently host the Genuine Life Recovery podcast which focuses on addiction, recovery, and mental health with a biblical worldview. While I was in Sacramento, I partnered with William Jessup University to enhance their leadership program through my radio endorsement while earning my MA in Christian Leadership. Since that time, I have also earned an MS In addiction counseling from Grand Canyon University.
