One definition of ‘trade’ reads: “To exchange articles of more or less even value.”

I traded in: Addiction for freedom; anger for peace; loneliness for love; self-pity for empowerment; emptiness for fulfillment; shame for honor; failure for success; aimlessness for purpose; and sorrow for joy.

Who would make a deal like that? It’s Jesus Christ, and He’s still making deals like that.

When He died on the cross He took your sins upon Himself so you wouldn’t have to suffer for them. He traded you hell for heaven.

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”

You can’t earn it, and there’s nothing you can do to even the score. He offers this gift because He loves you. All you have to do is ask for it.
