“I would rather walk with a friend in the dark, than alone in the light” – Helen Keller
God has brought many dear friends into my life over the years. Some were for a season while others are for a lifetime. One thing I know for sure is I would not be who I am today without them.
You see, real friends make you a better person. When life gives you lemons, they show you how to make lemonade. Troubles, trials and even tragedies are bearable with friends by you side.
King Solomon, who many believe was the wisest man who ever lived had this to say about friendship:
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble” (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
Satan loves it when you’re isolated because he can whisper lies in your ear and say you’re no good and things will never get better. Wise words from a friend can help protect you from the enemy and his schemes.
When difficulties come, friends can provide a fresh perspective; bringing hope to a situation that seemed hopeless. When you’re wronged, friends stand up for you and give you courage to move on.
True friends are a wonderful gift from God, may we never take them for granted.

id be lost without my Church family and friends. When i started my walk I had let go of all my old friends, But God gave me so many wonderful new ones!!!
